Ria Paradkar, Class of 2022
Chapter President

As our fraternity’s President for the 2021 calendar year, I welcome you to the official website for the Delta Sigma Pi Xi Chapter at the University of Michigan. The Xi Chapter prides itself on maintaining a strong, close-knit brotherhood while providing unmatched professional development opportunities and academic support for its members. Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and I encourage you to explore the site to learn more about our chapter.

Unlike other business fraternities on campus, DSP is comprised entirely of business majors in the Ross School of Business, which means that our members all go through similar collegiate experiences. These shared experiences make our fraternity truly feel like a family, as you are always in class with your brothers or attending internship and job recruiting events together. I’ve personally never had a class without a DSP brother, and those friendly faces are extremely comforting at a school as large as Michigan.

With a brotherhood of over 80 members, DSP continually strives to provide brothers with unparalleled opportunities and lifelong friendships. We offer a multitude of resources for career development, including professional events, career panels with our extensive alumni base, and mentorship from other brothers. We also build great friendships through social events, bonding activities and community service. Some of these include bowling nights, barbecues, and Business Gives Back Week. Although we are a Ross-exclusive business fraternity, our brothers are a diverse and inclusive group who are leaders inside and outside the classroom, heavily involved in a range of clubs and organizations across campus. DSP is a perfect opportunity to develop professionally as an underclassmen and give back to younger brothers the same skills you were first taught. It is a place where you can learn from those who were recently in your shoes, and serve the local community, all while developing friendships that last a lifetime.

As I look back at my time at Michigan, I can truly say that DSP has been the most influential and impactful experience on my college career. When I joined as a freshman, I knew I would be receiving professional support, but I had no idea that I was joining the group that I now consider my family at Michigan. DSP has provided me with the academic and professional experiences I needed to succeed in college, while also serving as the first place I felt I belonged at Michigan. Through DSP, I found my best friends in college and created lasting memories that I will never forget. Most importantly, the Xi Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi gave me, like it has countless others, a place where I can truly be myself and for that I am forever grateful.
